Book pictures are amazing. I love to read so, naturally, I like to take pictures of my reading material. This book was one of the series of unfortunate events books (love those books). Sorry this post is kinda short and I haven't posted in a while, I am busy packing to go visit my grandparents in San Diego. ☺

Happy Late Fourth of July! I hope you all had a good one. Mine was very exciting. After we were done with  fireworks my dad and brother were in the garage cleaning up and a little dachshund wandered into our garage! they didn't see any owners so they shut the garage door and called me and my mom out to see it. It was SO cute. we put out some water and food for her and made a little bed for it in our garage. After we got it to eat and drink a little she seemed kinda tired so we left her alone for the night. In the morning she was still really sad and jittery but we let her into the house to meet Ernie and Berta. She seemed to get along OK with them. In the afternoon my mom called the SPCA and they said that there was somone looking for her! The owner came and picked her up she was really happy. She had come about 3 or 4 miles from her home! Below are some pictures of her. Her owner said her name was Clementine ☺

For some reason some of my favorite pictures are from low levels. Maybe it is because I am short. This one is of bamboo at the zoo. I like the green-ness (is that a word?) of the picture. Happy Fourth of July!☺

Here is my mom holding a pine cone for Berta at the end of the race, it may seem strange but Berta prefers  pine cones over regular toys. why? I do not know.

Berta eyeing the pine cone before the race.

Ernie intently watching the race.

My mom and Berta after the race
Yesterday my family and I went to a dachshund gathering/party/race at a local pet store. Berta participated in the race but sadly I was unable to get very good pictures. for me it was all kinda a blur. as I am sure it shows in the pictures. Berta made us all proud by coming in last in the dachshund race. Ernie did not participate in the race but had fun meeting the other doxies. there was a costume contest, a dog dressed as Captain America won :-) it was overall a really fun event. ☺
